5 Point Super Star

I have received permission to share the 5 Point Super Star Shaped Afghan with you!  I found this pattern on You Tube and turned it into a pillow.  I’ve received requests for a written version. Thanks to Michael Sellick and all the beautiful designs he’s created I am honored to share this.

2 skeins Contrast A (optional)
Size H (5.00MM) Hook

top of chain 3.

Round 6: Put your hook into next stitch.  Using your contrast A loop it around your hook and continue with the slip stitch with the new color.  Cut the yarn equal in size with the tail of your MC.  Tucking in the ends under your stitches.  Chain 3.  *Dc into next 6 stitches.  3dc, ch3, 3dc into space.  Repeat from * around ending with a slip stitch at the top of chain 3.  On the side spaces skip over 2 posts and continue pattern.
Repeat pattern until desired size.  Do two rounds with each color if desired.

Since I made a pillow I repeated the pattern.  For the opposite side I reversed the color combination.
Notes:
The evolution of this pattern expands counting by 2’s. Each round of dc’s being 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 etc.

Happy Hooking!
